Carolyn Bair opened her sub shop at the Carlisle Country Market in 2012, while her daughter Jacinda opened her own café, The Bair’s Den Café, at the Market.
Carolyn started the sub business in 1987.
She formed routes delivering her subs til 1992. She then helped her husband, who sold IBA dairy and animal health supplies directly to the farms. That kept them busy and with raising their two children.
In 2009, she started the business with routes again, and in 2012, decided to open a sub stand at the Carlisle Country Market.
At the end of August, 2017, Jacinda closed her café and left Pennsylvania to marry and move with her new husband out of state.
On Saturday, January 25, 2020, Carolyn closed her sub shop. She wishes to thank everyone who patronized her vendor stand over the eight years she was in business at the Carlisle Country Market.
